FSTS Participates in UNO Discover Engineering and DREAM BIG Event

From Student to Scientist participated in UNO's Discover Engineering and DREAM BIG Event on Tuesday, February 21st! As part of National Engineers Week, UNO's College of Engineering hosted this event for students and teacher (grades 6-12), with the goal to increase an understanding of and interest in engineering/technology careers. About 2,000 students attended!

At the From Student to Scientist table, we featured various experiments/demonstrations including making oobleck (a non-Newtonian fluid), testing pH of different acids and bases, and setting up and playing a banana/marshmallow "piano" with the Makey Makey invention kit! Thank you to the Brown Foundation for supporting us, as well as the UNO College of Engineering for hosting this wonderful event.
